Carroll County SWCD District Program Administrator:

District employees position is unique, they are liaison between landowners/operators in your county and conservation on the ground through many programs-as well as referring them to neighboring agencies who may be able to help. District employees are hired by District board/county mayor to work in partnership WITH the Natural Resources Conservation Service, (NRCS) and the Tennessee Department of Agriculture (TDA) to assist farmers with installing agricultural best management practices BMP's in the county. Best Management Practices are things that farmers can do on their land to help reduce soil erosion and improve water quality. THIS WAS, AND IS, THE INTENDED PRIMARY FUNCTION OF THE DISTRICT AND ITS EMPLOYEES.  The board of Supervisors only may change or amend duties, tasks, events and activities they want district employee to be responsible for.

Donna has been employed with the district Since May 2018. She was born in Milan TN. She is a Hometown Huntingdon TN native. Before coming to work for the district Donna had a background in the Medical field for 16 years. Donna responsibilites include assisting customers on daily basis, financial management, meeting coordinator, annual reporting & helping partner staff, among other day to day office tasks.
